Hi all!

First round of Belgian IC is behind me and I played an interesting game in the Benko-gambit:

White: Verstraeten Jan (1914)
Black: Descamps Stijn (=me) (1839)

1. d4 Pf6
2. c4 c5
3. d5 b5
4. cxb5 a6
5. b6 Dxb6
6. Pc3 g6
7. e4 d6
8. a4 Lg7
9. a5 Db4
10.Ta4 Db7
11.Pf3 Ld7
12.Ta3 Db4
13.Pd2 0-0 (I suppose Lb5 was the way to go to sac the pawn in order to get typical benko-compensation)
14.Dc2 e6
15.Lc4 exd5
16.Lxd5 Pc6
17.0-0 Pd4
18.Dd3 Ta7
19. Pc4 Pxd5
20. Pxd5 Db5
21. Lf4 Le6
22. Te1 Td8
23. Le3 Lxd5 (f5! was probably winning but not easy to see)
24. exd5 Te7
25. h4 Dd7
26. Ta-a1 Dg4
27. Lg5 Txe1
28. Txe1 f6
29. f3 Pxf3 (Dg3! but I had only 3 minutes left which made me chose the easiest solution)
30. Dxf3 Dxf3
31. gxf3 fxg5 with draw proposal accepted
